Chiang Mai city Green Areas

The green area in the City  Chiang Mai City, it classifies the green area under its management into 4 types:

1) recreational area and landscape attraction: 0.44 km²
2) multipurpose area: 0.78 km²

3) natural preservation area: 0.03 km²

4) green land strips: 0.03 km²

There is only a total area covering 0.78 km or 1.94% of the total municipal area or 3 m²

of green area for one resident, lower than the standard of 4 m per one resident.

This does not include the number of visitors or none residents that live here semi annually or annually like westerners on extended stay visas .
