Asan food is variety that is traditional north east food but, uses fewer spices if desired. However, if you choose to spice up your life or your meal, those things are normally served on the side. This is a pleasant eatery that is located off one of the many Soi in Chaing Mai this one is behind Montri Hotel. The staff is friendly and takes a personal interest in each of their customers. The results are high satisfaction and a lot of repeat business.
If you are a first time visitor, it may be helpful to invite a Thia friend. They can help you read the menu or if you are bold and venturesome, feel free to ask them to make suggestions or suggest that the dish next you looks interesting. Either way satisfaction is easy to obtain.
One particular entree that was quite delightful was a Northern sausage, Fried pork with and without garlic, and a tasty soup. This was served with a wide variety of herbs and leafy vegetables. Sauces, which were designed to enhance the flavor make this an ideal hand food or snack. Presentation was simple, but extra care was taken to ensure that the food maintained its optimum flavor, consistency, and temperature during the dining experience. Simplicity and a personal touch are what make this an event worth repeating time and time again.
