A simple act of respect can make a big difference.

If your a Thai from northern Thailand, during Songkran it would be expected and a tradition to show respect to ones elders by the giving of a gift.

So we offer many of the elderly that have no family and are in need, a symbolic offering of Rice and Duck eggs that we grown with out chemical to the elderly in the Phrao area during Songkran.

Why Phroa, they are not hilltribes? Well we have our new "factory" in Phrao. While the factory is little more just a simple single cottage, where we now pack our coffee. We have been roasting our coffee on the same site there for the past few years and packing in Chiang Mai but now we are trying to support the economy of the low landers of Phrao by moving our whole processing there. We try to help the people that can't help themselves with out our assistance where ever we can!

We have found that the area of Phrao is a beautiful and friendly place to work and well located with a natural beauty and a friendliness of Thailand past.

The man handing out the gifts is Khun Lung the resident security and handy man of our "factory" in Phrao.

We would also like to thank Charity florists for their help and donation that helps keep our small duck egg program going. Yes we give free duck eggs to the elderly and needy in Phrao, all year round.
