ONE OF THE WORLD'S TOP 25 HOLIDAY GOLF COURSES
The rose Garden Golf Course has been selected by the
Golf Monthly magazine as one of the top 25 holiday golf courses in the
world. Courses with the very best facilities on and off the golf course
that would satisfy even the most critical and demanding of traveling
golfers. Located only about 45 minutes from the centre of Bangkok,
One of the most striking aspects of the course itself
is its imaginative design. Natural and man-made features are creatively
interwoven to give each hole its own individual charm and challenge.
Off the regular tees, there is every prospect of par for the steady,
thinking player. But from the back tee, when the course stretches to
over 7000 yards, the layout becomes far more difficult and demands a
high level of skill and courage.
Par Excellence
The two long par-5 holes on the front none, the 5th and 7th, typify
the nature of the course. Both holes stretch to over 550 yards, and
both flatter to receive, with water hazards, trees and fairway bunkers
waiting for the errant shot the whole way to the tightly-guarded greens.
In between, the par-3 6th has its own special charm with a tee-shot
over a lake to the green.
The 11th is a superb 585-yard long par-5 hole that double doglegs to
the left. With its large, open fairway, the long hitter can afford a
risk or two in attempting the shorter route to the green. But the water-ditch
and boundary skirting the fairway on the left must be kept in mind.
As with several of the holes, there is danger from water, too, along
the whole of the long par-4 16th hole.
A testing tee-short over a beautiful lake sees you on your way to the
magnificent finishing hole. A monster 590 yards long from the back,
the 18th requires the fairway second shot to carry the canal that bisects
the course. Bordering the right of the green, another large lake has
to be successfully negotiated before the beckoning comforts of the clubhouse
can be claimed.
The Golf Monthly magazine puts it, "The Rose Garden
course offers perfect relaxation and serenity in one of the most attractive
floral settings imaginable".
Per excellence!
A perfect combination of scenic beauty, sporting challenge
and pure golfing pleasure!
One of the many attractions that endear the course to
regular and visiting patrons alike are the caddies. Over 400 young Thai
girls with ready smiles, are not only charming and friendly but extremely
knowledgeable about clubbing and the line of putt. Other facilities
include a driving range, practice chipping / putting green, a plentiful
supply of clubs and golf shoes for hire, and ample parking space. Open
daily (except Mondays) to members and nonmembers.
CULTURAL SHOW : A spectacular daily presentation, featuring
over 150 artistes and performers, vividly portraying a fascinating cross
section of Thailand's culture, heritage and way of life; dances, ceremonies,
rituals, sports, pastimes, handicrafts and cottage industries. This
tourist attraction is well worth the time to see.
