This is for people who are getting married with Lanna Weddings
or in Chiang Mai.
Firstly Thai weddings are legal only if registered properly!
You need an affidavit, signed by your embassy or consulate
stating who you are and that you may get married under Thai law.
If you are American, Canadian, Japanese (site)
or British you can arrange for the Affidavit in Chiang Mai avoiding
the delays and traffic of getting it in Bangkok (It's your choice).
You just come to Chiang Mai and we will take you to your consulate
and do everything else for you. It does take a few days of waiting
but Chiang Mai will entertain you well.
For most other western Nationalities you will have to go to
your embassy in Bangkok and get the affidavit done there. Then
just give it to us and we do the rest.
When you have decided on a date, we will explain to you in
detail what you need for your country. But for most countries
a Valid passport, acompanied by original divorce papers if you
are divorced.

can do it all yourself. if you like suffering bureaucracy
and time is not a problem

the foreign ministry as needed. You need only get your affidavits
